ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A FAMILY DOCTOR?
We are pleased to announce that we have a new family doctor in town.
Dr. Smith grew up in Cambridge, Ontario and was involved in many sports including hockey, baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. He completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University and graduated with honours. He then completed a Masters of Science Degree in Applied Health Sciences at Brock University and was awarded a Canadian Institutes of Health Research grant for his Master’s thesis. Dr. Smith completed medical school at Trinity College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland and coached at CrossFit Dublin while in medical school. He worked for two years at the Mobility Clinic specializing in mobility disorders in primary care in Kitchener-Waterloo after completing medical school and helped establish the Mobility Clinic in Iroquois Falls. Dr. Smith joins the IFFHT staff after finishing his family medicine residency training in Kitchener-Waterloo. He will be caring for patients at Anson General Hospital, the Iroquois Falls Family Health Team and residents of the long-term care facilities in Matheson and Cochrane.
